Located in southwest London, Wimbledon is one of London’s top high streets, with period and new build properties.

History

Since the 17th century, wealthy families have chosen to live in Wimbledon. The historic charm brought by period houses that are centuries old is a strong selling attribute for Wimbledon property. There is a property for every investor hoping to acquire property in Wimbledon. You will find Victorian villas, four and five-bedroom townhouses, sturdy terraces, contemporary luxury homes, and a few larger developments.

Property values in Wimbledon

Larger family houses and period properties range from £2 million to £10 million with prices going upwards as you go closer to the village and common. Some properties are valued at £20 million.

An article by Mansion Global reveals that prices are lower in Wimbledon Park (from £1 million). While the houses are smaller, investors can buy family homes valued at £1.2 million for a terraced house and £2.5 million for a detached property.

Leisure and recreation

The lively atmosphere in Wimbledon Park attracts younger renters, and the space and slow-paced lifestyle attract more mature buyers. There are numerous recreational activities and facilities for people in every age group.

Wimbledon is famously known for tennis. The All England Lawn Tennis Club and the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum are quite popular, but there are lesser-known attractions.

3.    Activities for children

Kids are not left out. The Deen City Farm is a fun place for both adults and children. The whole family has the chance to interact with farmyard favourites or enroll in riding school. For more outdoor fun, Wimbledon Park is an ideal location for families to get active. 9ha Lake is a sight to behold, and there are sports activities offered like sailing, archery, and Kayaking.

As the demand for houses increases, the Wimbledon property market continues to thrive as properties are close to schools, parks, accessible transport, and essential local amenities. Each year, during tennis season, property close to courts has a high demand as visitors seek short-term accommodation. Wimbledon is an affluent residential zone that has the charm of a village with available modern luxuries.
